Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor M Atiqul Islam on Monday gave instruction to the department concerned to clean all drains in his areas by March 15. “All the drains under the DNCC must be cleaned by March 15,” he told a meeting on water logging held at Nagar Bhaban, said a press release. “A total of 10 rapid action teams will be formed for the 10 regions of the DNCC to take effective measures to solve the problems in the region as soon as possible,” he said. He said 42 dead spots have been identified for the rescue of canals under the DNCC, where there used to be canals earlier.
